The purpose of this research study is to explain how organisational change management in the public sector impacts the public sector project management environment. This research was conducted as a case study underpinned by the collection of quantitative and qualitative data via survey and interview.

The finding was that organisational change management does impact mindset, behaviour, culture and systems within the project management environment by influencing to varying degrees thoughts, actions, norms and processes at an individual, team and organisational level. These research findings will contribute to the field of project management by providing contemporary evidence that illustrates the correlation between organisational change management and the project management environment. It also provides an insight into how the project management environment as a beneficiary responds to organisational change that is deep, internal and transformational.
