COURSE DESCRIPTION

Masters Research Project Part A&B is a series of two courses that culminate in a 9,000 word research project that demonstrates a high level of synthesis of concepts and prepares the student for lifelong learning in pursuit of personal development and excellence in professional practice.

In Masters Research Project Part A students generate a plan to investigate and report on special issues pertaining to a relevant research topic from within the area of Project Management. The components of Part A are: the research project proposal, the literature review and the human research ethics application, if applicable.

In Masters Research Project Part B students implement their pre-approved plan to investigate and report on special issues pertaining to a relevant research topic from within the area of Project Management. The components of Part B are: complete research outcome.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the application of theoretical knowledge and skills to plan and execute a substantial research-based project.
  • Collect, analyse, and synthesise information and data through the use of approved Research Methods.
  • Apply expert, specialised cognitive and creative skills to generate conclusions and make recommendations on complex ideas and concepts in the area of project management.
